CHC was established in 1986 by the Christian Outreach Centre, now known as International Network of
Churches (INC), because of its vision for higher education in Australia. From small beginnings, CHC has
gained recognition as a provider of standing in the Australian higher education sector.
CHC offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Business, Education, Liberal Arts,
Ministries and Social Sciences which contain a unique combination of personal growth and professional
academic studies within a Christian worldview. Graduates of CHC courses can be found in many countries
throughout the world. Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV is a place where lives are transformed, and people are equipped to make a
difference to the world around them.
The School of Education and Humanities offers accredited undergraduate and postgraduate university-level
courses. There is a core complement of permanent academic staff supplemented by several sessional
lecturers, supported by the Administrative Officer.

The position is responsible for all the administrative tasks, as required, to support and assist the Dean,
Lecturers, Students, and other staff of the School of Education and Humanities. Join the dynamic Christian

environment. We are seeking to find someone who can contribute and support the Dean, Lecturers,
Students, and other staff of the School of Education and Humanities.

Position duties:

The key tasks and responsibilities of the Administration Officer role include, but are not limited to:
• Support staff with all aspects of academic administration.
• Effectively communicate and provide support to all stakeholders, both internally and externally.
• Create and maintain effective academic administrative systems.
• Diary management and assist with meeting set up, presentations etc.
• Support course review, development, assessment, and accreditation function
• Preparing and editing correspondence, reports, and presentations to a high standard in a timely
manner

• Experience in a high-level administrative role essential. Previous academic administrative role
is not essential but would be highly regarded.
• Self-motivated, organised, detail orientated, with excellent time management skills.
• Be able to prioritise work, work under pressure and work well autonomously as well as
collaboratively as part of a team.
• Ability to anticipate needs, action required and to take initiative.
• A commitment to equal opportunity and experience working with diverse populations.
• A relevant post-secondary qualification, Bachelor level qualification would be highly regarded.
• Actively support and promote the ethos of CHC.

Desirable:

• A relevant post-secondary qualification, Bachelor level qualification preferred.
• Experience in an academic administration role.

• Active involvement in a local Church
• Excellent interpersonal skills which enable effective communication with students and staff
• Willingness and ability to accept responsibility and to work with minimal direction.
• Ability to prioritise competing work demands to meet internal and external deadlines.
• Commitment to support the vision, values, and strategic directions of CHC.
